Breath of the Wild Has an Alternate Ending

Depending on the games you would have played in your lives, you may or may not be familiar with the concept of alternate endings. Pokemon Gold/Silver/Crystal/HeartGold/SoulSilver is a prime example, as the ending of the game is different depending on what conditions you’ve met during the course of the game. You’ll see a different ending, for example, if you’ve beaten all 16 gyms and Red as opposed to just the Johto portion.
In a recent interview with IGN Portugal, Aonuma confirmed that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will have an alternate ending of it’s own. He didn’t explain very much, but he stated that if you wanted to view it you would have to meet certain conditions. Here’s the full translated quote:
“There is an alternate ending if you meet certain criteria. If you do a few things, you may see a different ending,” Aonuma revealed.
