Do you own a Wii U? Are you in the mood for a classic Zelda adventure? Nintendo might have something for you. The original The Legend of Zelda has just been released on the Wii U’s Virtual Console.
Hit the jump for more.
The NES classic is available for $4.99 on the Wii U’s downloadable service. If you happen to already own the Wii Virtual Console version of the game, you can add it to your Wii U library for only a dollar. Like with all Wii U Virtual Console games, it can be played on both the television and GamePad screens.
At this point they’re probably aren’t many dedicated Zelda gamers who don’t already own the original The Legend of Zelda in one form or anther. The game has been frequently ported over the years to almost every Nintendo system imaginable. Although it’s convenient to have the classic game available on the company’s most recent console, I’ll be sticking with my copy of it in The Legend of Zelda: Collector’s Edition.
Are you interested in downloading the game that launched Link’s adventuring career? Or are you already satisfied with one of the game’s past iterations?
