The 2024 Zelda Dungeon Marathon Raises Over $17K for No Kid Hungry!

While the 2024 Zelda Dungeon Marathon has sadly come to a close, we couldn’t be happier having seen the amazing generosity from everyone who donated throughout the week. We not only blew past our donation goal of $12,000 USD, but we destroyed our initial ambitions for this year with a fundraising total of $17,085.16 USD! Whether you donated during the week or were just watching to show support for the marathon throughout, we thank you very much!
Every summer, the Zelda Dungeon Marathon gathers the team together to play a whole bunch of Zelda games for an entire week in order to help raise money for a good cause. The 2024 marathon saw us once again raise money for No Kid Hungry, a non-profit organization whose goal it is to end childhood hunger in the United States by ensuring kids have access to food they need at school, during the summer, and at home. For every $1 USD raised, the organization is able to provide ten meals for a child in need. And if you do the math, this year’s fundraising total will help provide over 170,850 meals!
There were so many amazing moments throughout the week that you have to check out if you haven’t yet. A Nintendo Direct took place alongside our event this year, so livestream viewers got a chance to see the team react to news of A Link to the Past & Four Swords arriving on Nintendo Switch Online, and react to the unveiling of a brand-new Zelda title, Echoes of Wisdom! Our team even finally took down the massive CD-i beast known as Zelda’s Adventure this year.
