Tears of the Kingdom Nominated for Game of the Year at the D.I.C.E. Awards

The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS) recently announced the nominees for the 27th Annual D.I.C.E. Awards, due to take place during the 2024 D.I.C.E. (Design Innovate Communicate Entertain) Summit next month. Alongside other acclaimed titles like Alan Wake 2 and Baldur’s Gate 3, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has secured a number of award nominations, including one for the coveted Game of the Year.
Tears of the Kingdom has been nominated for the following at the 27th Annual D.I.C.E. Awards:
- Outstanding Technical Achievement
- Adventure Game of the Year
- Outstanding Achievement in Game Design
- Outstanding Achievement in Game Direction
- Game of the Year
Other nominees for Game of the Year include Alan Wake 2, Baldur’s Gate 3, COCOON, and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. You can find the full list of nominees right here.
Arranged by the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences, the D.I.C.E. Awards are juried by a panel of video game industry professionals (including developers, programmers, artists, and publishers) and are considered within the industry as the video game equivalent to the film industry’s Academy Awards. The inaugural ceremony took place in 1998, and the show has coincided with the annual D.I.C.E. Summit since 2002.
The 27th Annual D.I.C.E. Awards are set to take place Thursday, February 15th. The event will be live-streamed by IGN.
