This comes a day after the latest wave of Breath of the Wild icons closed out. Featuring art and screenshots from the new game, the Tears of the Kingdom icons will release in two waves, one from May 11th through May 18th, and one from May 18th through May 25th.
Icon elements are purchased through My Nintendo Platinum Points, and players must have an active Nintendo Switch Online membership to redeem them. Also, be sure to check out some of the other rewards available with My Nintendo Platinum Points here and here!
It seems like Nintendo has gone full throttle with the marketing for this new game, and these icons are the perfect way to celebrate its release. I can’t wait for the release of Ganondorf and Sidon with the second wave. Are you looking forward to experimenting with the new icon elements? Have you grabbed some already? Let us know in the comments below!

John has been a Zelda fan for over 10 years now and is proud to say the series has had a major impact on his life (and wallet). After years of going to Zelda Dungeon for guides or the latest news on the series, John achieved their dream when they joined the writing team in 2019; John can hardly believe how long it’s been. A librarian, he loves meticulously arranging his library of Zelda games and collectibles. After what felt like an eternity of waiting for Tears of the Kingdom, John looks forward to the future of the Zelda franchise with enthusiasm, whether that’s the upcoming movie, a new spin-off/remake, or the next big game.
