The official Australian Skyward Sword website has launched and it features the same goodies that we saw at the Nintendo of America site. However, the one noteworthy edition on the Australian website is the release date! The site shows an upcoming release of November 20th, 2011, the same exact day that Skyward Sword hits shelves here in America! This is great news as Australian Zelda fans feared the worse after a near two-week delay in release for Ocarina of Time…

Today Nintendo of Europe posted the European release date for Skyward Sword! Link is once again tasked with rescuing Zelda, on November 18th in the eagerly anticipated European debut of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword on Wii. Update: Nintendo of America has revealed that November 20th is when North America will be able to pick up their copy of Skyward Sword

GoNintendo posted today that Nintendo of Europe’s press website is showing The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword for an August 2011 release. This is obviously an error since at the E3 press conference Nintendo confirmed Skyward Sword for a Holiday 2011 release window. The website also lists Kid Icarus Uprising, Super Mario 3D, and Kirby Wii also as summer releases. Holiday in late Summer, who’s holiday is that?

It’s official, Nintendo fans down in Australia will be getting their hands on Ocarina of Time 3D on June 30th, 2011. An official announcement was made at the Nintendo of Australia website stating the date of June 30th along with a price of AU $69.95. Given the currency rate, this is equivalent to over 70 bucks in US dollars. Although historically it has been the case that Australian prices have been higher than American prices, so this is not unusual….

The above video is a showing of a number of upcoming titles for the Nintendo Wii. What we are most concerned about occurs at roughly 1:25 into the video. There are a series of short clips from Skyward Sword, where it shows Link using the Beetle, fighting a moblin, deflecting an attack from an Octorok, rolling around in a fire like dungeon, and then fighting a stalfos. Most of this material is not new at all, but there are several…

Footage for Ocarina of Time begins at roughly 2:27. It’s worth noting that the sound effects are identical to the original Ocarina of Time, as is the secret chime when Link burns down the web that is blocking his path. Thus, while it does look like the models and textures are being revamped, the core game seems to be the same as it was 12years ago. The short clip shows Link in one of the basement floors of the Great…

The title of this news post might sound a bit strange considering we are talking about Skyward Sword, a game that is not set to release until 2011. However, the folks over at Legend Zelda are already stating that they think it will be the game of the year… next year! In their recent article, they talk about everything from game sales, the storyline, the new wii motion plus controls, graphical style, and historical trends in reviews amongst Zelda games….

According to the folks over at GameStop, our beloved Zelda Wii is set for release on November 1st, 2010. It surely just seems like a placeholder date as the 1st of the month is usually reserved for such games that have no official release date. However, it does seem very plausible as a November release will allow the game to become Nintendo’s top game come this holiday season. Last year Spirit Tracks released a bit late with a December release…
