It has finally been confirmed, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD will release on October 4th here in the United States. Yet this news did not come from a press release regarding the release date, but instead from one discussing a very special Symphony of the Goddesses concert. Whether Nintendo meant to let the release date slip just yet or not remains to be seen, but the point is that it has! Jump inside to read more!

The countdown is under way for the release date of The Wind Waker HD but we have more news on the release of much anticipated game. We’ve seen a Wii U bundle looks promising (though still not heard anything of a UK release) but it seems as though there will also be a digital release as well as the regular retail version. The most interesting part of this? The release date of the digital release is slightly different from the…

Nintendo has revealed during its newest edition of Nintendo Direct that The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD will be releasing on October 4th in Europe! Unfortunately, Nintendo only stated this Zelda remake would be releasing in October for North America; no specific date yet. The title is a polished remake of the GameCube classic which brought friends and foes to the Zelda series; particularly due to its mostly controversial art style. Nintendo has previously stated that The Wind…

Nintendo has revealed via its official site that The Wind Waker HD will be releasing in Japan on September 26th; just under two months away! The much anticipated Wii U title features full 1080p HD graphics bringing the GameCube classic into a new visual dimension. Its use of the Tingle Bottle (replacing the Tingle Tuner) will allow you to post to Nintendo’s social media service, Miiverse, and interact with other players. A massive adventure for Wii U awaits and hopefully…

Nintendo released the information from their latest financial brief, and within that brief was a nice list of games with release dates. One of those games, which previously had no release date, was The Wind Waker HD. It will be arriving on store shelves in Japan on September 26th. Notably it is still slated for October in the United States. Still, if recent trending matters at all, it might be safe to assume that means we could see the game released within a week or two of that date out west. Of course, what am I saying? A Link Between Worlds is coming out in early 2014 in Japan, but it’s arriving this year in the United States… and it’s not like Japan never gets games a full month ahead of time or anything (July 13th for Pikmin 3… August 3rd for US).

Still, with a date confirmation for Japan it’s safe to assume we are just a matter of days if not just a couple of weeks away from a release date announcement for the United States and Europe. Do you have any exact day predictions for its release out west?

UPDATE: VG 24/7 mistakenly reported the release of Zelda U. The financial report, which can now found here, lists A Link Between Worlds as “early 2014,” in Japan, while it lists Zelda U as “TBD.” So it looks like we still don’t know much about the release date for Zelda U, but it was fun while it lasted. Hopefully Iwata will have news for us soon.

Original Article:

According to a report made today by VG 24/7, the as-of-yet unannounced original Zelda title for Wii U is scheduled for release in “early 2014.” The report references “Nintendo’s financials for the three months ending June 30” as their source, but they have left no link to verify their information.

It seems incredibly strange that Nintendo would just suddenly make this announcement out of the blue in a financial report, though it’s possible—albeit quite unlikely—that this may be a mistake. We have however, heard great progress reports, so a 2014 launch isn’t too out of the ordinary. It seems a little sudden, especially considering that part of the reason The Wind Waker HD is being released is to make the wait for Zelda U easier, but at the same time, the inner Zelda fan in me just wants this to be true so badly! Either way, don’t take this as a certain fact until we can get more definite verification.

It’s been confirmed, The Wind Waker HD is the official title of the game. New details have also emerged about promising new features. Hit the jump to find out more!

November 24th 2011 is the date that Australians will be able to get their hands on Skyward Sword. When the Australian Official Skyward Sword Website launched a few weeks back they had the same date as the Japanese website of November 23rd. However, the Australian website has fixed this error and it now has the proper release date of November 24th, or as it is listed in Australia 24/11/2011. November 18th – Europe November 20th – North America November 23rd…
