After our one day mini-marathon last Saturday, the Zelda Dungeon community raised over $2700 dollars. On Friday evening I took a trip over to the Galloping Ghost Arcade to interview its founder, Doc Mack, and present to him our collective donation. On top of the $2700 dollar donation that we raised, I added a special donation myself that you can see in the interview.

EDIT: The Mini-Marathon has concluded and we raised over $2600. Thanks everybody! You can view the full stream over at our Twitch Channel, as well as take part in the chat. The one-man 21-hour mini marathon will begin at 6am US Central Time, lasting all the way until 3am the following day. Being active Zelda fans in the community, you all are probably not strangers to gaming marathons. Some are just for fun and viewership, but what about one with a cause? Filmed, charity marathons have become a fairly prominent trend among the gaming body recently with great success. A new Android (and possibly iOS) app is planned by the creator of LegendZelda.Net, but it needs some help reaching the funding goal at Kickstarter. The concept of the application is if you’re stuck in a game, you can take a picture of your screen with your phone, and the application will figure out where you are in the game and point you to the right section of a walkthrough. Unfortunately, this project does not have a lot of time to…

Although the Legend of Zelda series is spectacular in almost every way, some feel it has become more and more flawed as of late, especially Skyward Sword. David Hellman (the artist of Braid) and Tevis Thomson (writer of “Saving Zelda”) are huge Legend of Zelda fans and after “Saving Zelda” was published, conversations of the frustrations of Skyward Sword began. After…
