Last week, Nintendo started up a “Super Smashing Sale” in celebration of the impending release of

Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS (it’s out right now in Japan, you know. Timezones and stuff). Each week until the North American launch of the game, select titles featuring the next Smash‘s characters will go on sale on the Nintendo eShop, allowing us gamers to experience the classic games that made these characters worthy of joining the Smash Bros. fight. The first week of the sale focused mainly on Mario characters, but this week? This week it’s all about The Legend of Zelda

To help celebrate the upcoming Hyrule Warriors release the Europe Wii U eShop has updated again to include the main Zelda theme from Hyrule Warriors. Fortunately the folks at ntower were kind enough to post a video giving the rest of us a look at the updates. Jump inside to check it out for yourself.

The European eShop is soon going to have what it is calling “The Legend of Zelda Weeks”. Several Zelda games will be up to 37% off for three straight weeks, and if you buy a Zelda game between the 19th an 26th of September, you can get Hyrule Warriors for 10% off! Check out the ad after the jump!

A little over a week after the Smash Bros. eShop sales, it has become clear why Link and his games were conspicuously absent from the festivities. Nintendo of Europe is going big on the way to its release of Hyrule Warriors, putting every Zelda game on the eShop on sale for the next couple of weeks. As if this weren’t enough, those who do purchase one of the titles during this period of time will be able to buy the upcoming crossover title for 10% off—or even the incredible A Link Between Worlds for…

Earlier this month, we reported that specific retailers were giving away exclusive DLC costume packs for Hyrule Warriors. Ever since then, we have been waiting for confirmation that the DLC packs were going to be made available by other means. We already know that Club Nintendo members who register their game will receive a code for an exclusive Ganondorf costume set. However, the other costume sets were stirring up a lot of controversy. People who wanted everything the game had to offer would be out of luck unless they bought the game from each retailer. Finally, we have confirmation…

With the new attention Nintendo has finally put on downloadable content, their eShops for the 3DS and Wii U have tapped a whole new market that was being only halfheartedly satisfied before. Thankfully, this advent has given us the ability to download older Zelda games without having to buy the normally adjoining consoles, and recently, these retro downloadables have charted on the 3DS quite well. Click the jump to find out more.

No one really dislikes a sale, but I think it’s fair to feel a little off put when one is excluded from it. While there’s not anything explicitly stating that it’s on purpose, the Smash Bros. “Veteran Fighters” eShop sale beginning today in Europe does not include any of the games in the Legend of Zelda series. As saddening as this is for folks who’ve been waiting for the perfect excuse to finally play The Wind Waker HD, The Legend of Zelda, or Link’s Awakening DX, among other titles, there are a number of great games from other series up for sale…

In case you weren’t sure which characters will be appearing in Super Smash Bros for Nintendo 3DS/Wii U (and with 37 unique characters, who could blame you?), Nintendo has seen fit to remind you with an eShop sale for the game’s stars, new and old. In addition to the announcement of that amazing 3DS XL bundle, Nintendo of Europe announced today that a special sale will begin tomorrow on the Nintendo eShop in honor of new characters appearing in this entry, followed immediately…

First Club Nintendo; then Gamestop; then Amazon; and now Best Buy. Hyrule Warriors will be having all of its costume DLC split up to various retailers, including Best Buy, which has the Skyward Sword DLC costumes for Link and Zelda included with pre-orders. Keep reading after the jump for more details.

A Link Between Worlds has been out for nearly a year now and most of us have probably already been able to battle our way through Ganon’s minions and save the day. For those that haven’t yet discovered how great the game is, Nintendo are offering the game for a discounted price for one week only. However, there’s one small problem; it’s Japan only. Take the jump for more info.
