The Zelda fan-base was collectively vexed when Nintendo made the announcement that Zelda Wii U would no longer be released in 2015 nor be shown at this year’s E3, but Nintendo may be applying a bandage to at least one of these sore wounds. Zelda publication The Hidden Triforce was tipped off by a GameStop employee who overheard his store’s Nintendo Representative spilling fact after fact about Zelda Wii U, and amassed a nice list of rumors. The game is…

We’re going a little off the cuff here since the biggest event in the gaming industry will be upon us in less than a month. We know that Zelda U is likely skipping the event – though if Nintendo has proven anything over the years it’s that they can’t always be believed and they are unpredictable. That means that sure, Zelda U could get a trailer. Maybe we get some art. It’s also just as likely that they stick to what they said earlier in the year, and Zelda U is not there. Does that mean no Zelda at E3 at all…

Nintendo released a video announcing their E3 plans today, just like they did last year with Reggie Fils-a-mech. This year featured Reggie himself heavily again, but they changed up the format to unveil something I feel like no one expected. Sure, they announced another Nintendo Digital Event on June 16th at 9 am PT, and yeah they are doing more Nintendo Treehouse live stream – all par for the course and expected. They even announced another Best Buy limited time demo opportunity, this time for Mario Maker. You know what wasn’t expected? The return…

Earlier today, Nintendo of America announced on Twitter that they will be revealing their E3 2015 schedule tomorrow, May 13, at 9 AM PT.

Included in the Tweet was a hooded man who appears to be training alongside some gym equipment. The picture is quite fitting, as Nintendo captioned the picture with…

Nintendo of America has stated that they will make an announcement as to their E3 plans tomorrow at 9am PST. The news came across as a tweet with a picture of the hooded figure you see “training” for E3. For us at Zelda Dungeon we can’t help but wonder, what will be in store for our green-clad hero during this year’s E3? Nintendo has already said that they will not be discussing Zelda Wii U, as well as their plans for…

M. Productions is a YouTube channel that only covers Nintendo games. We know of them from their Zelda theory series, their last of which talked about Zelda potentially being evil. They have also had several talks with out YouTube channels theorizing about Zelda U, though we don’t really have much to go on right now. This time they are sitting down with some other YouTubers to talk Nintendo at E3, starting off by talking about Zelda Wii U. While they all agree we won’t be seeing any game footage – trailers or otherwise – they do somewhat feel like we could get something… even just a logo with the official title…

With Zelda U’s delay still sinking in, Adam leads this week’s spicier than usual cast down a road of fan fiction and debate. We discuss the possible reasons behind Zelda U’s extended dev cycle, possible ideas for Zelda’s 30th anniversary, angrily debate about Smash Bros Ballot characters, and consider the possibility of…

In the first editorial I had written on the subject, I talked about how Zelda U not being at E3 is a strange move on Nintendo’s part. Something else Zelda must be replacing it. Why else would they go ahead and cancel their star header for E3…
