The phrase “it’s dangerous to go alone! Take this” is one of the most well know phrases from the Zelda universe and has been referenced numerous times, not just in other Zelda games. It was this scene that is the focus of a recent short comic by Safely Endangered with an ending that was actually quite touching. See the comic after the jump.  

Dorkly has brought us yet another video based on Zelda. This one takes us back to the original Legend of Zelda when Link receives the sword from the hermit. In the game, it’s convenient that the hermit doesn’t ask for any form of payment in return for the sword or give Link trouble, but what if he did? In the video, the hermit tries to get Link to buy a pair of nunchucks and it all goes downhill from there….

Over at ugo.com they’ve put together a list of eleven things they’ve learned from the Zelda series. These types of lists, while common, are always fun to look through. Classic staples and oddities in the Zelda series are mentioned, such as breaking into strangers’ homes and breaking their pots along with the peculiar habit of glass bottles to deflect magic.
