Although Club Nintendo has announced that they will soon be gone for good, that doesn’t seem to be stopping them from throwing in some new rewards for fans to cash in their coins just a few months away from closing date… at least in Japan.

Club Nintendo of Japan has announced a whole new batch of rewards, including a few Zelda-themed goodies. For those of you in North America who have been keeping your eye on Club Nintendo rewards…

Way back in September, we learned that Japan received the A Link Between Worlds soundtrack, in the form of a Club Nintendo reward. A month later, photographs of the Japanese soundtrack surfaced, leaving the rest of the world green with envy.

With Club Nintendo shutting down and Best Buy canceling pre-orders, our podcast team spends this episode discussing the idea of merchandise and physical rewards vs. digital rewards. Rare are the days when we hear updates regarding the rewards on Nintendo’s points-based customer rewards system, especially physical rewards.  Just recently, the North American Club Nintendo website was updated with three physical rewards, one of which happens to be Zelda-themed. While this is not a brand-new rewards, the scarcity of these kind of updates makes it something to enjoy.

Club Nintendo just added three amazing Smash posters to their collection, and they’re completely amazing.

The posters feature Rosalina, Palutena, and Villager, three of the newcomers on Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS…

Nintendo UK has released a commercial for Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS entitled ‘A Link to the Smash’. It is basically a Link love fest, as fans describe why Link (or Toon Link in one case) is their favourite Smash character. Check out the video below the cut.
