It is time, once again, for Zelda Informer’s weekly Photoshop contest!

Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aimé celebrated his 54th birthday this week, so he no doubt went on some amazing adventures in celebration. We may never know exactly what he did for his big day, but we can guess using the magic of Photoshop. And while we get our bodies ready for this week’s challenge, we’ll look at last week’s contest: Zelda: The Mobile Game.

Around here we’re not always the greatest at keeping up on the various birthdays for all of the Zelda games, but one Zelda birthday we’ll never forget is the original release. It was titled Hyrule Fantasy in Japan and landed on the Famicon Disk System on February 21st, 1986. Roughly a year later, the rest of the world got to enjoy Link‘s very first adventure in Hyrule. Today marks its 29th birthday, meaning next year is the big 30th. In honor of the recent release of Hyrule Warriors, we’ll be working together to collect Gold Skulltulas while improving our Hyrule Warriors coverage.. Originally founded back on April 23rd of 2005 as the Zelda Universe Wiki, the site has expanded to become one of the most popular Zelda websites in the community.
