Nintendo Announces Start Time for April 2nd Switch 2 Direct

We just have to wait a little while longer! Nintendo announced this morning that they will be offering fans a closer look at the Switch 2 system during a dedicated Direct event on the morning of April 2nd, 2025. While the company did name April 2nd as the date for this “Nintendo Direct: Nintendo Switch 2” live event when the system was first unveiled a few weeks ago, we now know when the presentation will begin.

This Switch 2 Nintendo Direct presentation will take place on April 2nd at 6 AM PT / 9 AM ET.
While Nintendo did not provide too many specifics about what information will be covered during the Direct, we’re hoping to at least hear about a release date, pricing details, and a launch line-up.
