Super Smash Bros. Brings Back Several Veterans

Brace yourselves, all; the release of Super Smash Bros. For Nintendo 3DS is upon us. True, the official release of the first iteration of this entry in the Smash Bros. series is this Friday, September 13th, but at least one very lucky gamer has gotten their hands on the game before the official street date release. This gamer has been kind enough (and fortunate enough) to live stream his progress in the game and show us not only hours of gameplay, but a few reveals as well. He has tackled Classic mode a few times, and although he failed the fight a few times, he eventually managed to unlock one of the veterans to which we referred in the title of this article: Falco.
While this was the first character unlocked in this particular stream, since then (at the time of this writing) four more veterans have been confirmed to return in this entry of Smash Bros.: Ness, Dr. Mario, Game & Watch, Wario, and the most relevant to our interests: Ganondorf. As opposed to all leaked footage/images thus far, this is the actual game being streamed on Twitch, so there is no denying the confirmation of these characters. Additionally, Game & Watch, Ness, and Wario all return with stages in tow, one of which is a brand new stage.
With these characters confirmed, we’re now well above 40 characters for this entry, and it appears we only have more on the way. How many characters will this game have? Which other veterans will make a return? More importantly, which won’t? Keep it here for updates as the streams continue.
