“Song of Storms” a cappella
Posted on February 26 2013 by Sam Mills
There seems to be an uprise in popularity for a cappella and, well, singing in general these days. With movies like Pitch Perfect and shows such as Glee and Smash, it was only a matter of time before the singing infection hit the Zelda franchise. Jump in and feast your ears upon the latest in Zelda fandom: “Song of Storms A Cappella.”
YouTuber Smooth McGroove has only had his channel for a little over two months now and already has over 700 subscribers. I can imagine that number will jump after you hear his rendition of “Song of Storms.”
Epic beards are epic.
And this is not his only Zelda themed a cappella video, either. His channel has a few more, including the Legend of Zelda Overworld Theme, Saria’s Song, and Zelda’s Lullaby.
I can only imagine how difficult it was making this sort of video. Composing the score, matching tracks perfectly, actually hitting those high notes; Kudos to Smooth McGroove for his commitment to adding to the Zelda music world. Give him a subscribe and request more—he definitely seems open to suggestions!
What did you think of Smooth McGroove’s a cappella rendition of “Song of Storms”? Are you going to check out his other videos? Has he inspired any of you to try making your own Zelda a cappella videos? Comment and let us know!
