Skyward Sword Walkthrough: Enemies Page Update

With all the recent news, videos, screenshots, and artwork, we’ve learned a ton of new things about the various Skyward Sword Enemies. It seems this time around Nintendo is taking a book out of the old console and handheld titles. Rather than having a massive amount of unique enemies, there are many cases where there are standard enemies that have tons of different variations. Thus far we’ve seen multiple variations of Bokoblin, ChuChu, Deku Baba, Keese, Fugu, Lizalfos, Toadpoli, and more. This is only the enemies that we’ve already seen… who knows if there are even more variations of these enemies.
What we’ve also seen is that some enemies are more intelligent as you progress through the game. We’ve seen Moblins in the early areas of the quest that have these massive wooden shields that are easy to break through. However these same moblins later on in the quest have large iron shields which force Link to adjust his strategy. There doesn’t seem to be as much of a variety of unique enemies, but perhaps more than any other Zelda game, there looks to be more uniqueness in different varieties of specific enemies. We’ve gone ahead and updated the Skyward Sword Enemies portion of our Skyward Sword Walkthrough and you can find more details after the jump.
Including the different varieties of enemies, our listing now has 39 different Skyward Sword Enemies. Even discounting the multiple variations, we are counting 24 distinct enemies. Who knows what the final count will be, but I personally don’t think there is going to be a massive number of more enemies. Rather, I think we’ll see more situations where the enemies we already know of have more advanced stages later on in the quest, much like the Moblin example.
So of all the enemies we know of thus far, which enemies are your favorite? Are there any classic Zelda enemies that are missing that you’d like to see? I know I personally would love to see a Lynel in Skyward Sword, but I’m not quite sure that would make the proper transition to a 3d console Zelda game with this graphical style. Feel free to voice your thoughts below.
