CVG: Skyward Sword Preview

An article was posted on ComputerandVideoGames.com previewing Skyward Sword. This article may contain a bit of spoilers for people. It doesn’t completely delve into every aspect of the game, but it does talk about a few things that some people may not know about. One thing happens to be the fact of how Link enters a third realm of existence other than the Sky and Ground ones: the Siren World.

Sky and ground worlds are topped off with a third. Hyrule has a dual world of it’s own: the Siren World. Like Link to the Past’s Dark World it’s an alternative Hyrule, physically unchanged, but bathed in striking neon light. If Tron had a baby with Studio Ghibli, this would be their freaky child. In a cool twist, Link enters the Siren World by embedding his sword in the ground. In an uncool twist, it has to stay there. Link is doing this one empty-handed.

The article mentions a few other things about the game other than the method used for entering the Siren World, but it talks about how he must collect “Tears of Light” and must avoid the guardians of that world. After reading this article for myself, it makes me want the game so much more now and it’s hard to believe that there’s only a couple more weeks until it’s release! I’m pretty sure that you guys feel the exact same way. Anyway, stay tuned for more Zelda news!
