Skyward Sword HD is a great opportunity to revisit one of the more divisive games in the series. The game, which was released in July 2021, made some admirable attempts to make Skyward Sword more accessible by adding button controls to supplement the original motion controls. Like many other big Nintendo games on Nintendo Switch, Skyward Sword HD has sold well, with around 3.6 million units sold as of September 30th. This means that the game will easily pass the sales of the Wii original.

If you have not played Skyward Sword HD yet, then you might want to check out Walmart.com. The big box chain is currently selling the digital version of Skyward Sword HD for the price of $40.73 USD. This sales price works out to be around 33% off the original $59.88 USD, which is a pretty significant discount for a recent Nintendo game. Please remember that this is only for the digital version of the Skyward Sword HD, so if you are interested in this sale, make sure you have the 7.1 GB of free space on either the Switch’s internal storage or a memory card.

If you are not sure if Skyward Sword HD is for you, we recommend checking out Zelda Dungeon’s review of the game. Additionally, the team at Zelda Dungeon has put out some editorial content to celebrate Skyward Sword‘s rerelease. This includes explorations and critiques of the game’s dungeons, key moments, and Gratitude Crystals.
