When Gymnast86 beat The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword in under five hours back in February, we all thought that was a crazy and one-of-a-kind world record not to be beaten for some time. But on August 26th, someone went ahead and did just that, beating Gymnast86’s world record by getting a 4:58:10.

A speedrunner by the name of Nimzo9 has gone forth and taken the record by Gymnast86, beating it by 1 minute and 31 seconds! I am excited for the future of this game and excited to see how far the runners can bring the time down. If you would like to check out Nimzo9 for more future Skyward Sword Any% speedruns then be sure to check him out here.
