Saria’s Song on Marimba
Posted on January 21 2012 by Ally Paige
If you have musical talent, why not put it to good use? YouTube user Mart0zz has done a great job recording a song that can be appreciated by Zelda fans. He and his friends have played their interpretation of Saria’s Song from Ocarina of Time on the marimba, of all instruments. While the marimba isn’t the most common instrument in the world, the song itself doesn’t sound half bad. Not to mention it’s equally as entertaining just to watch the mallets on the instrument while they’re playing it. I even love how they emphasized the word “Link” in the description… Anyways, take a look at the video.
These guys are good, right? It isn’t the typical way that people do song covers and it’s refreshing to see something different and creative. Doesn’t it make you want to play Ocarina of Time just to run around in the woods? Mart0zz has other videos that he and his friends have made of Zelda songs on the marimba which include LoZ’s main theme, the Song of Time, Gerudo Desert, and the Song of Storms. They’re just as good as this one, so feel free to check them out if you like this video. What better way to spend your time than on something Zelda related?
How do you like the video? Can you play anything Zelda related on an instrument? What songs do you think would be nice to hear? Feel free to tell us in the comments.
