Rumor: Remastered Nintendo Game Releasing In 2015
Posted on August 15 2014 by James Evans
The same Twitter user who predicted
Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, as well as Devil’s Third, recently tweeted that someone let him in on a crazy secret. According to Nico of Any Arts Studio, Nintendo will be releasing a remastered title to fill the gaps in the lineup. The tweet roughly translates to:
You’re gonna love it, but it’s a Remaster. It’s perfect to fill gaps in the line-up. Really, Big N [Nintendo] will have one game per month in 2015.
Could this be the
Majora’s Mask remake we’ve all been asking for? It definitely seems to have been hinted at a lot over the past couple of years, but the Big N has often brushed it off as just a fun thing for the fans. Are we actually going to see another Zelda title to hold fans over until the release of Zelda U at the end of next year?
While
Majora’s Mask has been on many fans’ minds as the game they want remastered, this doesn’t exactly mean that it is the only possible option for the Zelda series. Both Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword are viable options if the remake were to fall on the Wii U. The tweet did fall between posts about the Wii U, but the tweet itself gives no confirmation either way.
Another point of discussion, however, is that Nintendo will be releasing a game every month in 2015. This comment is very vague, but we might as well take it into consideration while we are breaking down this rumor.
This part of the rumor would hold true even if the games being released were a knock off third party title, but that wouldn’t really be worth announcing. Maybe it’s simply stating that new games are coming to the eShop every month. Personally, I would like to see more Game Boy Color titles become available for download.
The truth of the matter is that this is still just a rumor. Even if it is true, it doesn’t confirm that it would even be a
Zelda title. But it is fun to speculate. Let us know what you think in the comments section down below.
