Preorders Now Available for Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition

Today’s Nintendo Direct announced that preorders for Nintendo World Championship: NES Edition are available now. The retro-focused game is due to release for Switch on July 18th, 2024.

This unique game offers over 150 speed-running challenges based on a collection of 13 classic games from the NES era, including two Zelda games: The Legend of Zelda and The Adventure of Link. You can play as a single player in Speedrun Mode, compete with up to eight friends locally in Party Mode, or even compete against other players globally with World Championship Mode (with a Nintendo Switch Online membership). You can preorder the digital version of this game from Nintendo US for $29.99 USD (also available from other online retailers). Alternatively, Nintendo is also offering a preorder for Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition Deluxe Set for $59.99 USD. This includes the physical version of the game, five collectible pins, 13 art cards each featuring one of the NES games, and a gold-colored NES cartridge (display only).
