Finding awesome fan-created content is often a good thing, but when it is clear that someone has spent several hours of their time to create something exceptional, then that is captivating. An example of one of those captivating projects is this fan made Bongo Bongo boss fight that has been created using Halo 5: Forge. Now this isn’t the first time we’ve seen something like this created in Halo 5 but it is the first time we’ve seen something done to this extent. Just going back to July, a fan made Kakariko village from Ocarina of Time…

Ever wanted to have your own fairy in a bottle? Well now you can! Cheesy infomercial intros aside, we noticed these neat “fairy in a bottle” necklaces were up on Etsy. Unfortunately, I don’t think they’ll bring you back to life if you meet an untimely demise, but at least it will look nice on your neck.

If you choose to go with the black hemp chain for your necklace…

You have no doubt heard about the fancy new art book that has been promised to feature all of the official artwork ever from the Zelda series. Our friends in the west will have to wait until February 2017 to grab this delightful book, but in usual fashion, our friends in Japan have been blessed with having this book in their hands already. Thankfully, the book is available for…

It’s no secret that we love Majora’s Mask at Zelda Informer. One of our founding members wrote an editorial on it many years ago, while we were also one of the founders for the Operation Moonfall movement (for those who even remember what that was). One of our newest staff members, a brand new video editor named Daniel, has decided to create a video feature exclusively for ZI on why he (and others here) loves Majora’s Mask so much. You may be surprised by his reasoning, or find that you’re in complete agreement. That or you just hate the game – but hey…

The Nightmare Before Christmas stands today as my favorite holiday movie for more reasons than the fact it simply combines two amazing holidays together. One of those aspects is the brilliance displayed in all the musical numbers. One of the most well known of these tracks is “What’s This” – a track YouTuber RodgersBase has turned into a full on NX parody. There is a lot of brilliance in this number, both in how it describes all the various rumors, but also in how it’s all phrased. It also helps his voice surprisingly sounds a bit like Jack Skellington, the character who sang the original…

We’ve had various rumors and reports in regards to the NX run across our table, but nothing wholly concrete from any sort of credible source that we ourselves could feel 100% confident in. That is until today, where the Pokémon Company’s own CEO makes some very clear and concise comments about the NX itself that all but confirm the hybrid nature of the system. The Wall Street Journal got a chance to talk to Tsunekazu Ishihara about Pokémon being on the NX and here is what he said…

Do you remember the first Zelda game you ever played that really resonated with you? Was there a particular title that just warmed your heart in a way no other game had before? All of us at Zelda Informer have experienced this wonderful feeling from a Zelda game, and for some of us, it was The Wind Waker. This particular Zelda title has always had mixed reviews. Some people hate the graphics and the cartoon style, some people thought sailing the sea was a tedious task. Others thought…

I didn’t know I needed to hear a funk cover of Groose’s theme until now. Being the only character that matters from Skyward Sword, his music deserves all of the covers and remixes it can get. I would say the video above is just as fantastic as this metal cover of Groose’s theme we featured not too long ago. If you’re a funk fan, a metal fan, and a Groose fan, you’re probably in Heaven right now.

Kudos to SyntheticSloth for producing this wonderful cover. He has also published covers of…

Avast, me hearties. May ye be ready for another Zelda Informer Caption Contest? If you couldn’t tell by the unique way I introduced the contest, today just so happens to be Talk Like a Pirate Day. Nintendo actually reminded me of this celebration of swashbuckling vernacular this morning with a tweet featuring our favorite Zelda pirate Tetra. I couldn’t let opportunity to use this sassy corsair in today’s contest slip by me, so here I am to present you with an image of the Great Sea’s pirate queen. She looks particularly surprised about something, so why not speculate with some captions?

We still don’t know when Breath of the Wild, its amiibo, or Nintendo NX will be launching. We do know NX is publicly slated for a March release, but as for Breath of the Wild and its amiibo, we can only guess. Nintendo of France recently gave us a possibility as to when they will be available for the public, as many report their website is boasting a release date of March 4th, 2017.

It should be noted this is a Saturday, as most Nintendo releases tend to fall on Fridays…
