Princess Zelda has some tricks up her sleeve in Echoes of Wisdom. We know she’ll use the Tri Rod for Echo creation, Bind, and Reverse Bond. We’ve also seen her Swordfighter form and some of the Automatons she uses on her quest. Through a combination of these elements, Zelda can solve puzzles, fight enemies, and traverse Hyrule in her first official starring role. It will, presumably, take some trial and error to make sure things go correctly for the princess….

We are one week away from the newest entry into the Zelda series, so this week, a reunited Andy and Al go over all the things that they are hoping Echoes of Wisdom includes! On the talking block this week: dungeon structure and a more linear progression, fun and intricate sidequests and collectables, outfits from Zelda’s past for Princess Zelda, the rise of a new and awesome villain, amiibo releasing down the road, a killer soundtrack, and so much more!…

With Echoes of Wisdom just weeks away, there is still one mystery looming over it; will Ganon be the game’s only villain? Trailers and promotional materials have prominently featured a showdown between Link and Ganon, presumably in Echoes of Wisdom’s introduction. Ganon is also featured on the game’s cover, so it’s clear that he is at least the main villain. However, he is shown seemingly slipping into the same Rift as Link. With Ganon in the Still World, will there…

In what may have been the worst-kept secret in the games industry, Japanese game studio Grezzo has been confirmed as a co-developer of The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, alongside Nintendo EPD. Switch users who have pre-downloaded the latest Zelda game ahead of its release next week are now able to view the software’s intellectual property notices, which identity Nintendo and Grezzo as the “authors of this software for the purpose of copyright.”   Grezzo’s contributions to Echoes of…

The Zelda series has gone through formula-breaking (and at times polarizing) changes in recent years. Making Zelda the player character in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom is another bold step from Nintendo. Does it signal even more gutsy changes to come? I for one wouldn’t be surprised if we see Nintendo taking more big swings in the future, like changing up the series’ art style, delving into new genres, or reimagining characters we know and love.  New Art…

Less than a week remains until the release of Echoes of Wisdom, and it appears we’re not quite done learning of bonuses that will come with the purchase of this game. In the sneak peek section of their weekly adverts dated September 22nd – September 28th, Target has revealed that a free “Mystery Collectors Puzzle” will be available with the title when purchased in-store. Not only is this puzzle first come, first served with no rain checks, but the item…

Did you know that it has been almost 20 years since Tingle has graced our screens in a mainline Zelda game? First appearing as a map salesman in Majora’s Mask, Tingle quickly became a staple in the Zelda franchise throughout the early 2000s. He’d show up in Oracle of Ages, The Wind Waker, Four Swords Adventures, and a slew of spin-offs. His final mainline Zelda appearance was in 2005’s The Minish Cap. Sure, he’s made cameos in other games, such…
