As games have become more complex in size and scope, the size of development teams has, generally speaking, risen over the years. The Legend of Zelda series of games is no exception to this concept, as a recent article by the German news publication nintendo-online has shown. Among other things (we assume; none of us have German skills above the rudimentary level), the post contains a very intriguing graph that shows the number of people involved and the development time for each game in the franchise’s history up to…

For those debating on either getting the hard or digital copy of Hyrule Warriors, we finally know how much data the game will consume. Hyrule Warriors is a whopping 7.08 GB which takes up a massive amount of internal storage space whether you have the 8GB or 32GB hard drive. If you plan to get the digital version, an external hard drive would be handy for such a huge download.

It is no secret that Link has been quite the ladies’ man over the years. Throughout the Zelda series, he has had quite a few girls after his heart, but is that something worth keeping up in future games? Many fans continue to support their favorite couples in Zelda, producing endless shipping fanfiction and artwork, while others resist any idea that Link or any other main character might end up in a relationship. Should Link have, or be subject to,…

Earlier this week, along with a plethora of other info about the game, we posted on a reported sighting of Fierce Deity Link as a costume for Link in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS. While the source seemed rather trustworthy, we now have the picture to back it up. Having made no true appearance since its inception in Majora’s Mask, this kind of reference to the extremely powerful incarnation of our hero is extremely exciting, not to mention breath taking as we will assuredly be seeing the demigod form in full HD come Super Smash Bros. for Wii U later this year…

Another month, another Kickstarter campaign! While this one in particular isn’t strictly Zelda material, we did feature the artist/video game designer/musician behind the comic at the center of this already hugely successful Kickstarter a few weeks ago, and he is definitely a favorite of many of us here at ZI. Matthew Taranto, the man behind the Brawl in the Family webcomic has decided to pursue a second Kickstarter to preclude the end of his long running and very popular parody comic. While we are sad to see it go, this…

Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U amiibo pre-orders finally started up a little over a week ago and have been dominating the video game charts of Amazon ever since. Canada in particular has almost every amiibo in the Top 20 Best Sellers’ list right now, which is pretty impressive to say the least…

Update: It appears there may be some photoshop action going on with the staff badge, thus this rumor is more than likely fake.

Honestly, I love rumors; if for nothing else they get us talking about a future that is unknown. That being said, I have been sitting on these details since the end of July because I wasn’t sure enough really post them. People make claims they are from Nintendo in almost every single rumor out there. I mean, would a Nintendo Employee really…

Kaiyodo, the creators of a set of metal key chain items based on Skyward Sword, have recently put up the order page for a new item set based on A Link Between Worlds. As with the previous set, six metal items come in the set, and it is quite affordable. Check them out after the jump.

Valga is no more, at least in terms of how we will be referencing the character here on Zelda Informer. We have been playing through our review copy of the United States version of Hyrule Warriors, and our first little nugget of new information is that his official localized name is “Volga“. It’s a simple change, but one that more closely resembles Volvagia. I am sure there will be other localization changes, and I will try to summarize them in a post in the future. We are really working hard on getting a full preview of the game ready and loaded…

Everybody likes to play games differently. Some like to take their game online instead of gathering with friends in the same room. Some only play multiplayer games while others only enjoy the single player experience. When it comes to the Zelda series, similar rules apply. There are players who like to sit by themselves and get immersed in the world; there are players who prefer to experience the game with their friends. I was thinking this topic could be a poll, but everyone has their own unique way to play Zelda, and we want to…
