Exclusive stages are running rampant between the two versions of Super Smash Bros., and the latest stage revealed for the Wii U version has me super excited. It’s the Orbital Gate from Star Fox Assault. As it is a brand new stage never seen in a Smash game before, Sakurai has gone beyond the typical reveal and gone on to explain the many different scenarios that can happen on this stage – from missiles firing to riding on Arwings. Nintendo released four videos of footage from the new Hyrule Warriors DLC, showing us one of the first real looks at how these things are going to work and look like.

The videos feature Dark Link, Cia, Volga, and Wizzro as playable characters, battling various types of enemies in Hyrule Field.

Hyrule Warriors released this past Friday in North America. Five extra downloadable content packs have already been announced to be available soon. Among them a free pack including the three villains from the game, Cia, Volga, and Wizzro, making them playable. Nintendo has just posted a gameplay trailer for Cia on their Japanese YouTube channel. Recently, Nintendo and Koei Tecmo revealed that Epona will be a weapon for Link in the first pack of paid DLC for Hyrule Warriors. While the new C-stick on the New Nintendo 3DS is supported in Smash Bros., the Circle Pad Pro for the regular 3DS is not supported. The reasoning, as explained by Sakurai, has to do with processing power. Basically, the Circle Pad Pro uses up roughly 5% of the available processing power, which he claims simply isn’t available for Smash Bros., as the game needs that processing power to run. The odd part is, he compares it directly to Kid Icarus: Uprising and how he claims that game pushes the system to the max, yet Kid Icarus: Uprising supported the Circle Pad Pro. The apparent age groups targeted by each Zelda game seems to vary quite a bit throughout the series. Some are clearly meant for older people, while others take on a much more cheery and childish tone. While the latter style appears prodominant in the series, is it about time to up the maturity level and have a game meant only for older teens and adults?
