Nintendo UK so giveth, and so they taketh away. Well, they were really giving something they shouldn’t have… false information. There is generally no truer word than that which comes straight from Nintendo. That belief is what lead to us sharing what we thought was great news – GameCube controllers being basically compatible with everything on the Wii U. It sounded too good to be true and apparently it was. Nintendo UK delivered a message to Eurogamer to clear up their own goof. Still, fans reaction to the initial hope may give Nintendo reason to try and support it in the future…

Past Zelda games have given us several ways of moving about each respective kingdom. From simply walking around the world, to using large vehicles, Link has had no shortages of transportation methods, but what’s next? What should be the way that Link primarily gets around in Zelda Wii U, and subsequent games? Join the discussion after the jump!

Hyrule Warriors has finally been released in North America, and many of us here at Zelda Dungeon have been able to pick up our own copy and enjoy this Zelda spin-off title. And there have also been those of us who have gotten the game already, from either Japan, Europe or Australia. Now that we’ve had the chance to play the game, we’d like to give our thoughts on the title, to all of you. Interested to know more? Go…

At least… you can in roughly a months time. The GameCube controller adapter that is coming out for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U allows the controller to be used in any game that supports the Wii Classic Controller, Wii Classic Controller Pro, and the Wii U Pro Controller. Yes, that means you can play The Wind Waker HD with the exact same GameCube controller you played it with back in 2003. Even if that controller was a wavebird, those are supported fully by the adapter as well. In fact, with Wii U Pro Controller support (as in, it can replace it) it is safe to say the system that already supports the…

The YouTuber Dweebette posted a video of her speed-drawing some incredible Twilight Princess art. You do not see a lot of whiteboard art these days, and she certainly does a great job. With only a few tools, and about two short hours, she makes something awesome. Hit the jump to see the video!

When it was first announced that Bayonetta 2 would be a Wii U exclusive, it ruffled quite a few feathers amongst fans of the original, which had been released on the PS3 and Xbox 360. Despite the shift in consoles, the sequel is looking great. The game was released in Japan a few weeks ago, and reviews are already singing in its praise. As of late, Nintendo can’t seem to resist adding their own flair to the franchise by adding…

Hyrule Warriors has been out for a few weeks for us in the western world and a number of downloadable content packs are on their way in the coming months. The DLC will include additional characters, a new adventure mode map, and even some additional new objectives in legend mode. With that said, while the DLC will add some legs to game and keep us playing for a few months, I think for the most part we’ve all got a…

Nothing is official until Nintendo says so, worse yet, these figure aren’t even guaranteed to be remotely close  to what the npd or other services tell us soon enough. Still, while not confirmable in the slightest, it does suggest the game has not sold well during it’s first week on the market. Often criticized site Vgchartz has some estimated figures in for the launch of Hyrule Warriors and it doesn’t look to be too great. According to their estimates the game sold 99,165 units (only really behind two other games for the week). While these aren’t horrible figures, the game has seen significant drop offs in sales…

Cool Wind Waker Link Hoodie

October 07 2014 by Kev

We all love Link and many people have dressed up as him for Halloween, random fancy dress parties or for a gaming event. While dressing up as our favourite hero can cost a small fortune there are plenty of shirts, jumpers and hoodies that are modelled after Link’s tunic. One particular hoodie that is available from the website TVStoreOnline is designed after the incarnation of Link from The Wind Waker and it looks pretty cool. All is revealed after the…

While we haven’t had the console officially announced for North America yet, Japan is getting a special edition Smash Bros. New 3DS XL, which confirms what we thought all along. The face plate swap isn’t on the XL version so they can keep releasing limited editions that way, versus just making people buy face plates. In addition, they are getting a Smash Bros. theme for their Home screen. We’ll likely see that theme come our way later this year, but we may not see the New 3DS LL Limited Edition version. However, Japan is also getting a Smash Bros. faceplate, and I would suspect that has a much higher…
