There have always been differences in opinion when it comes to Zelda speed running. Some gamers enjoy doing or watching glitched runs because they want to see/play through all the ins and outs of a Zelda game. Others disagree and believe that any form of a time trial-style run of the game should be done in a more traditional, glitchless kind of way. The most recent speed run of a title from the Zelda series will please the latter as a world record has been made on an iconic Zelda game.
Zelda speed runner dannyb21892 is best known for his countless playthroughs of the Ocarina of Time series. Just recently, he has actually managed to beat the world record for an any% glitchless speed run of Ocarina of Time (using the Japanese Wii Virtual Console version) by beating the game in 3:39:00. Despite him making the new world record for this Ocarina of Time speed run category, dannyb21892 is still disappointed that he was unable to beat the game in less than 3:39. If you want to check out how he does some of his craft, or even learn how to speed run this iconic N64 title, just head on over to Danny’s official YouTube channel.
