A prototype edition of Ocarina of Time is for sale on eBay, with a developer debug menu, and otherworldly abilities that make it a collector’s dream.

The item is up for a buy-it-now price of £100,000 dollars, and will be open for bidding for the next week, if anybody’s interested in buying it; if this is real, it’s certainly amazing. The game is only playable with an Expansion Pack on the N64, and seems to be somehow linked to the GameCube release of the game, as the title screen reads “1998, 2003”.

Is this real? Possibly. It’s very hard to say, but the user selling it—Steem69—has sold a ton of collector’s items like this, some of which are most certainly legitimate, and he has a 100% approval rate. He hasn’t given too much information on this item and how he got it, but that might only be available to prospective buyers.

It’s certainly a dodgy item, and buying it is definitely a risky affair, in no small part because of the ridiculous price tag. The bidding could very well culminate at a much lower price, so buying it might not really be as ridiculous as it seems, but it’s still very doubtful.

Here’s the item on eBay, in case you’re at all interested!
