Unbreakable Weapons and Weapon Fusion Confirmed for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity
Posted on October 07 2020 by John Piland
The latest Nintendo Treehouse livestream showed some epic gameplay of the highly anticipated Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity. As we watched the warriors take to the battlefield, some interesting information was revealed, confirming that weapons are indestructible in this game. This means that players can take on Calamity Ganon’s forces of evil with their precious Soup Ladle without fear of it breaking!
News of unbreakable weapons was accompanied by some more exciting information, as weapon fusion was also confirmed. This means players can combine their collected materials to strengthen their primary weapon. The process is simple enough — just grab up to five different weapons and visit a blacksmith to fuse the materials together. Be sure to collect those Rupees as you journey through the maps though, as the Blacksmith, who has his own new character model, won’t work for free!
From what’s been shown, many weapons from Breath of the Wild make their return, so players will be familiar with the materials they are working with. Whether someone wants to upgrade a lance or a broadsword, they can select any type of weapon to power it up without fear of durability.
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is set to be released on November 20, 2020.
Are you excited to use indestructible weapons, or would you have preferred the challenge of keeping track of managing when and where to use your arms? How will you go about upgrading your weapons? Let us know in the comments below!
