With The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom now less than a month away, Nintendo seems ready to put the hype train into high gear. A brand-new trailer, titled “Into the Still World, a Journey Continued,” hit Nintendo’s online platforms this morning, offering us a look at the new worlds we’ll explore and the new abilities we’ll have access to as we lead Princess Zelda through her first true solo adventure.

As we’ve seen in previous trailers, the Hyrule of Echoes of Wisdom has been beset by mysterious “Rifts,” as objects, characters, and even whole areas have been swallowed up by these purplish, otherworldly tears. The latest trailer offers an official introduction to the realm that lies within these Rifts: the “Still World.”

With the help of her companion Tri, Princess Zelda will be able to enter this Still World and explore the warped, twisted environments it encompasses. The objects and terrain that were “stolen away” from Hyrule now exist as floating islands in the Still World, so Zelda will need to utilize her Echo abilities, as well as some platforming skills, if she wants to get around. And, because we’ll be able to enter the Still World from various parts of Hyrule’s map, you can expect varied environments within it depending on where you’re entering from. The Still World area corresponding to Eldin Volcano will feature lava flows and the area corresponding with Jabul Waters will feature underwater sections, to name a few examples.

The highlight of this Still World tour is the reveal that the realm will serve as host to Echoes of Wisdom‘s dungeons. The trailer primarily shows off a dungeon known as “Suthorn Ruins,” which will offer the types of combat encounters and puzzles that we’ve come to expect from traditional Zelda dungeons. We even get better a look at the ruins’ dungeon boss, a rock monster previously highlighted on Echoes of Wisdom‘s Japanese website. Thanks to her Echoes, it looks like Zelda will have multiple options when confronting this game’s big bads.

The other big reveal coming out of today’s trailer is Princess Zelda’s “Swordfighter Form.” Any fans out there who were worried that Zelda wouldn’t be able to slash up enemies should worry no longer, as the princess will be able to enter this ethereal warrior form — complete with hero’s tunic and cap — in order to use a sword and shield like Link would. Zelda will only be able to stay in Swordfighter Form for a short period of time, denoted by an in-game gauge, so she’ll need to pick up more “Energy” in the Still World to replenish the ability.

Lastly, the trailer introduces some inhabitants of Echoes of Wisdom‘s Hyrule, chiefly this game’s version of Dampé, who has traded in his grave keeper’s shovel for the wrench of an engineer. In Echoes of Wisdom, Dampé will provide Zelda with “Automatons,” clockwork machines based on Hyrule’s monsters, albeit with more colorful abilities. For example, a Tektite Automaton will explode like bomb and a Octorok Automaton will serve as a mobile cannon.

The trailer ends with a montage full of interesting details, including glimpses at a snow area, a horse-based minigame, and a familiar-looking dragon boss. But make sure you watch all the way to the end, because the presentation concludes with perhaps the most shocking reveal of all.
