Nintendo Highlights Echoes of Wisdom’s Major Regions on Social Media
Posted on August 29 2024 by Judy Cooper
The release date for The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom draws near and Nintendo is taking to social media to hype things up. In recent posts, fans have been treated to highlights of the different regions to be found in the upcoming iteration of Hyrule. Included are the Faron Wetlands, the Gerudo Desert, Eldin Volcano, and Jabul Waters. Although each of these videos are only 25 seconds long, they showcase plenty of elements to get Zelda fans excited.
The Faron Wetlands are a lush labyrinth and a home to series staple, the Deku Scrub. Fans can see these guys come in all shapes and sizes, being crowned with leaves and flower-like visages. There’s also Deku Baba to be found in this area — another creature that hardened Zelda fans will be familiar with — accompanied by other critters big and small. And to top things off, we’re treated to a cacophony of jungle-themed sounds to form this area’s theme tune.

The Gerudo Desert, located to the west of Hyrule, is home to the Gerudo Tribe. This area’s highlight lets fans see just how scorching the sands can be, with Princess Zelda obviously feeling the heat. There’s respite from sandstorms in the form of an oasis, and there are also signs of some recognizable enemies amongst the dunes. The theme song for the Gerudo Desert is included to round off the arid vibe for this part of the land.
Scorching dunes, frequent sandstorms, mysterious ruins, an oasis and, of course, the Gerudo tribe are all found within the Gerudo Desert in the west of Hyrule.#Zelda #EchoesOfWisdom pic.twitter.com/A7yPsUV6Wt

Eldin Volcano, from which the Goron tribe hails, features daunting cliffs where enemies run amok. Lava flows bright and burning in this mountainous region and baddies like (what appears to be) Torch Slugs leave a fiery trail in their wake. This area is coupled with its own thematic song to make the area stand out even further.

Jabul Waters is found in eastern Hyrule, and suffers from what seem to be some political troubles. The River Zora and Sea Zora call this area home and it’s clear that they don’t always get along. Fans will notice the Tektite among the fish, a minor enemy seen in previous Zelda titles, which is jumping around the crystal-clear waterways. Of course, Jabul Waterways features its own theme song to set the mood in this scenic area.
Located in eastern Hyrule, Jabul Waters are home to some of the kingdom’s most scenic waterways. Both the River Zora and Sea Zora make their home here, though the two tribes don’t always get along…#Zelda #EchoesOfWisdom pic.twitter.com/kDxuI8SAzf
