Nintendo has released their latest quarterly financial report for the fiscal year ending March 2025. In this report, the analysis details the success of Echoes of Wisdom, revealing sales of over 2.5 million units.

The actual sales of 2.58 million units worldwide are all the more impressive when you consider that Echoes of Wisdom was released on September 26th and the financial quarter ended on September 30th, representing less than a week of actual sales data.

Unlike regional sales reports released recently, Nintendo’s reporting includes both physical and digital sales.

While Echoes of Wisdom may not match Tears of the Kingdom’s astounding sales of 15.7 million units in 8 weeks, the figures represent a promising start for what was a twist to the Legend of Zelda series, featuring Princess Zelda as the main protagonist.

Nintendo have also published their Corporate Briefing, which details the combined sales figures for Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. The two open-air Zelda titles have now reached an outstanding 53 million units sold. To put this into perspective, the nine games that make up the Pokémon franchise have sales totaling 99 million units; and the combined sales for the 3D Super Mario and 2D Super Mario series are 42 million and 41 million units, respectively.

How well do you think Echoes of Wisdom will ultimately perform? And how soon do you think it will be before Echoes of Wisdom tops five million units sold? Let us know in the comments below!
