Following months of rumors about a planned Zelda LEGO set (based on a leak first reported by Promo Bricks), along with LEGO allegedly issuing DMCA takedown notices against YouTube videos that featured images of the proposed design, the need for speculation is now over. Nintendo today announced via their official X accounts that a new Zelda Deku Tree “2-in-1” LEGO set will be available on September 1st, 2024.

Fans have been wanting an official Zelda LEGO set for some time, and they won’t be disappointed with this stunning 2500-piece set which offers two design options. The first is the Deku Tree as featured in Ocarina of Time, with Link in his traditional green outfit. The second is the Breath of the Wild Deku Tree laden with blossom, showing Link in his blue Champions’ Tunic. Both Deku Tree designs have posable facial features, enabling the creator to choose the expression.

The set has been carefully created and includes collectible minifigures — three of Link and one of Princess Zelda — along with items such as Navi, the Master Sword, Hylian Shield, and, of course, the Ocarina of Time. The final constructions, which incorporate a full 360-degree design, are either 33cm (Ocarina of Time) or 31cm (Breath of the Wild). They are incredibly detailed, including items like a Deku Babu, a Skulltula, and Link’s house — or Hestu (with maracas) and the Master Sword in the stone.

The set retails at $300 USD or £259.99 GBP. Pre-orders are open on LEGO’s website now (here for North America and here for the UK), with shipping on September 1st.

This eagerly awaited set will be a fantastic item for any Zelda collector. Will you be ordering one? And most importantly, which design will you build? Let us know in the comments below!
