Newest Professor Layton Game has a Zelda Reference
Posted on November 27 2012 by ralphpotato
In the classic Nintendo fashion, Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask contains a receded, but perhaps not so subtle reference to the beloved Ocarina of Time. According to Did You Know Gaming, in a mini-game you can unlock instruments, and what else than ocarinas? Hit the jump for the full easter egg!
If the color coded ocarinas weren’t enough, the descriptions of the three parts of the Triforce are described in the game. Definitely a solid reference to Ocarina of Time and the Zelda series in general. And maybe it’s just me, but those descriptions seem to embody the spells you can get in Ocarina of Time, which are Din’s Fire (power), Farore’s Wind (courage), and Nayru’s Love (wisdom), particularly because the courage ocarina says it “blows away worry”.
What are your thoughts? Have you played the game and experienced this reference yourself? Tell us in the comments below!
