New Zelda Battle Quest Footage

A recent update from IGN shows off some more of the newly released Battle Quest footage direct from Comic-con. In this we see three players making it through a typical level with various differences in gameplay. Two players are using Wii MotionPlus controllers to control their characters in much the same way as Link is controlled in Skyward Sword. The third player is using the GamePad to control their character who is the archer of the group. Later on we get to see the players venture into a dungeon and attempt to solve puzzles and defeat enemies as a team. In the two minutes we learn quite a bit about the gameplay and just how the players will need to work as a team to be able to make it through a level.

I love multiple gameplay modes in a multiplayer like this. It really gives each member in a team a specific purpose. In fact I am already liking this more than some of the previous multiplayer attempts in the series. Four Swords had more of a every man for himself free for all style to it that actually set more players against each others. Overall this looks like a pretty fun game and I would to try it out as soon as it is available. I’m not a fan of the whole party sharing one life meter thing, one bad player might end a game pretty quickly with that around.
