New Tears of the Kingdom Fanzine is Doing an Interest Check
Posted on July 02 2023 by Emi Curtis

After years of development, the work of the Tears of the Kingdom team is done, and the Switch title is booming across sales platforms. As the sequel finally settles into our collective consciousness in all its glory, it’s inevitable now that fan works reflecting the game are going to begin pouring in.
With hardly a moment to breathe, a new Tears of the Kingdom zine has emerged on Twitter. Originally announced on May 6th, an entire week before Tears of the Kingdom even released, the proposed fanzine has been running an interest check since the day after the game’s release. The check, a potential for both readers to request content for the zine and to gauge approaches to the zine’s content, was originally scheduled to end June 12th, but was extended fairly early on to July 3rd in order to allow avid contributors time to complete the game.

The fanzine is intended to feature family-friendly pieces centered around the characters and events featured within Tears of the Kingdom specifically. Much of the zine’s features are still up in the air pursuant of the results of their interest check. Despite the all-ages intent, those intending to participate will need to be at least 18 and be prepared with a portfolio of works to show off.
Those interested in the fanzine can fill out the interest check document right here, check out mod spotlights and some games on the zine’s Twitter here, and get more detailed information on the zine on the publication’s Carrd page. Remember to act quickly, as the last day to submit is July 3rd!
