New Ocarina of Time Animation Laughs Through the Child Portion of the Game

Have you ever seen one of those impressive fan animated recreations of iconic Zelda scenes? Or have you seen really incredible Lord of the Rings-esque cinematography used in a Zelda fan film? Well, this is a little different than any of those. This animated summary of Ocarina of Time by TerminalMontage is an incredibly humorous and wrought with references to a bevy of Zelda troupes.
The video encompasses only the child portion of the game, ending when Ganondorf enters the Temple of Time and steals the Triforce. Highlight moments include the arrival of Queen Gohma and her million-hatchling army, the Gorons feasting their way through the cavern, and of course the Zora and Lord Jabu-Jabu.
My favorite game of all time is Ocarina of Time, so needless to say whenever an animation or personal take arises on it, I’m going to tune in. The best part to me in this though was the subtle nod to Gene Wilder’s portrayal of Willie Wonka when Link played the Ocarina to open Zora’s Domain. I also enjoyed seeing all the Gorons chow down on the boulder to the cavern entrance. Something about that just got to me.

What did you think of the video? Are you going to be looking for the second one? Would you like to see any other Zelda games get summarized in short like this? Let us know in the comments below or chat about it in our discord!
