It’s hard to believe that the newest Zelda game, Echoes of Wisdom, is just around the corner. The thought of a top-down adventure that breaks conventions already has Zelda fans excited for September 26th.

As suspected, making “Echoes” of characters and objects isn’t the only thing that the Tri Rod enables Zelda to do. The latest Echoes of Wisdom trailer showcases not only a tour of Hyrule, but also two new abilities entitled “Bind” and “Reverse Bind.” A cousin to “Ultrahand” from Tears of the Kingdom, “Bind” will let the player move objects as Zelda moves, a way to confront obstacles, carry Echoes, and uproot treasure chests buried in the ground. Additionally, “Reverse Bind” is as it sounds; instead of Zelda moving objects, the trajectory of an object can move Zelda along with it. For instance, the trailer shows Zelda using the ability to latch onto a moving platform to make it across a gap.

It seems that there is much to explore and even more to experiment with in this new Zelda game. Pre-orders are available now at the standard cost of $59.99 USD.

What do you think? Is the sandbox approach the right one for Echoes of Wisdom? Which ability do you think you’ll use most? What other abilities might there be? Let us know in the comments below!
