New 3DS Zelda Themed Cover Plate Announced

According to the ZeldaOfficalJP Twitter account, it would seem like everyone outside of Japan and the UK have met with a terrible fate. For those of you fortunate to own a smaller New 3DS (currently excluded to Japan and the UK), you might be pleased to lay down some rupees for either of these dashing faceplates to better Zelda-fy your faceless New 3DS.

If you didn’t already know, Nintendo has fatefully decided exclude the standard sized (or smaller) version of the New 3DS from the Americas; leaving many consumers no other option but to upgrade directly to the New 3DS XL (which doesn’t include the faceplate swapping feature). If you are one of the lucky few that happens to own the smaller Japanese/European New 3DS, you could add either or both of these to your faceplate collection.
How great do those look? Sadly, there will be many of us who won’t be able to enjoy either customization. There’s always custom decals and skins that could apply to the New 3DS XL, but those are about the only options you might have for customizing it. Leave your thoughts in the comments below!
