Music Box #4: Ocarina of Rhyme – Gerudo Valley
Posted on January 16 2012 by Legacy Staff
For any of you who were loving the first Music Box’s rap theme, then this one’s definitely for you. The artist Team Teamwork, who does some great remixes, has an album entitled “Ocarina of Rhyme,” featuring instrumentals from Ocarina of Time turned into rap beats for some great rap remixes. My favorite off the album is definitely his remix of Busta Rhymes’ “Don’t Touch Me,” which uses one of my favorite songs from OoT as well – the ever classy, always head-bop-able Gerudo Valley theme. Ever since I first heard this remix when it was released I’ve had it on my iPod, and I’m sure after hearing it a lot of you are going to want it too. Check it out after the jump – but once again watch out, Busta Rhymes uses a bit of harsh language in this one.
WARNING: There is a LOT of vulgar language in this song. Please only listen if you are okay with swearing and some offensive language.
Now that’s just great, eh? The Gerudo Valley theme matches up perfectly with the flow of the rap, and all around I think it creates a really good vibe. If the Gerudos were around in real life, I have a feeling they’d be bumpin’ this tune while on guard – maybe then they’d be alert enough to stop people like Link from getting in and releasing their prisoners!
If you like this, the whole album is available for download at Team Teamwork’s website, where you can name your own price. I couldn’t pay, but if you have money to spare he definitely deserves a donation! Then of course you can like his page on Facebook as well, and why not like our page too, to keep updated on the latest Zelda news! Have a great week guys, and let me know what you think of Team Teamwork in the comments!
