Much More Bayonetta 2 Link Costume Footage

When it was first announced that Bayonetta 2 would be a Wii U exclusive, it ruffled quite a few feathers amongst fans of the original, which had been released on the PS3 and Xbox 360. Despite the shift in consoles, the sequel is looking great. The game was released in Japan a few weeks ago, and reviews are already singing in its praise. As of late, Nintendo can’t seem to resist adding their own flair to the franchise by adding DLC costumes of characters from other Nintendo games. The Bayonetta 2 costumes include, Fox McCloud, Samus, and you guessed it, Link. YouTube channels NintendoWiiUUK and NiNTENDOMiNATi0N have recently shown videos of the tunic-clad Bayonetta in action. Take the jump to see them for yourself!
This is a short video by NintendoWiiUUK:
This is the much longer video by NiNTENDOMiNATi0N. Just as a warning, the video contains some course language, gore and brief mild nudity:
The tunic may not have much, if any, effect on Bayonetta’s combat abilities, but seeing her in the tunic is awesome. The Master Sword and Hylain Shield are a nice touch, but I can’t help but wondering whether those rupees that appear do anything, or if they are just there to add to the novelty of the costume.
Bayonetta 2 is set to be released in Europe and the North America on October 24th and in Australia on the 25th. I have already pre-ordered the special edition and after seeing this and I’m looking forward to getting it even more.
After seeing this, the concept of a female Link (Linkle? from the Hyrule Warriors concept art) may work quite well after all, especially if she would have crazy skills like Bayonetta. Do you think the tunic suits her well? Will you be getting Bayonetta 2 when it’s released? Tell us all in the comments below.
