Monday Comic Corner – Season Passes

This week on Monday Comic corner we have our first comic from AWKWARD ZOMBIE. Not only that, but, as you might have guessed from the title, this comic specifically features content from Oracle of Seasons, which isn’t talked about too often when Zelda is mentioned. I’m not exactly sure why this is, but it’s most likely because the handheld Zelda games just aren’t played as often as the “big” console titles, like Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess. But without further ado, hit the jump to read the comic!

For those who aren’t familiar with the game, Link can use the Rod of Seasons to change the seasons in the game. General Onox is the main antagonist, and he corrupts the normal turn of seasons at the beginning of the game. Thus Link’s rapid season changes wreak havoc on the local farmers.

And sometimes when you button-mash in games, you button-mash for a split second too long. In artist Katie Tiedrich’s words, “I tend to mash buttons, which can quickly lead to mashing lives.” And in this case, the farmers are distraught, and maybe the leading famine will mash the lives of everyone living nearby. Better start eating octorok meat.
