Miyamoto featured in episode of “Lore in a Minute”

The YouTube channel Lore in a Minute focuses on making weekly videos that give a quick and informative summary of a video game’s lore and/or backstory. These videos give gamers a fair bit of knowledge about a game so they can play it without feeling lost in the story, and they don’t have to spend hours researching since these videos are usually about a minute or so in length. Recently they began focusing on the stories of famous video game developers, and have kicked off the series with a Lore video about Shigeru Miyamoto himself! Jump in to see!

I am sure many of us are familiar with the famous story of Miyamoto’s cave exploration as a child and how it influenced the creation of The Legend of Zelda, but seeing it played out in such adorable animation is sill quite enjoyable. There were still some details in the video I had never heard before, such as Miyamoto’s father’s connections landing the now-famous game designer in his first job with Nintendo. All around it’s a pretty helpful video for any Nintendo fan to watch!
