Matthew Mercer Confirms That He is the Voice of Ganondorf in Tears of the Kingdom

This week has been an exciting one for fans of The Legend of Zelda. Not only did we get a beautiful story trailer full of images and secrets to uncover, but we also got confirmation of one of the voice actors for Tears of the Kingdom.
Confirming months of speculation, voice actor Matthew Mercer has confirmed that he will voice Ganondorf in Tears of the Kingdom. Mercer is known for his work on Critical Role as a DM and as co-creator of The Legend of Vox Machina, in which he voices numerous characters.
In a tweet yesterday, Mercer stated that voicing Ganondorf is “an immense honor that I have thrown myself into doing justice.” The Twitter thread continued with Mercer saying that he has been a fan of the series since he was a child and sharing pictures of him as a child dressed as Link. He also cosplayed as Ganondorf for the webseries There Will Be Brawl.

Mercer’s statement continued, “Many of you know the weight of expectation on my shoulders for this, and I hope to do you proud.”
