Mas’ Zelda Collection 005 – Legend of Zelda Million Publishing Guide

Part 5 of Mas’ Zelda Collection is now online and this one covers a strategy guide for the original Legend of Zelda by Million Print Publications. This strategy guide was released back in 1986 and it’s one of best guides for the original Legend of Zelda. It has a great overworld guide, as well as a nice room-by-room strategy for the dungeons. In fact, this guide was one of the primary inspirations for our current Legend of Zelda Walkthrough. It also has plenty of exclusive artwork for the items, characters, enemies, and bosses in the game. Rarity: Uncommon – Rare
Price: $40-$60

The guide is quite rare and almost impossible to find in the US. It will occasionally pop up on ebay, but your best bet is to look at yahoo auctions in Japan where it pops up more frequently. It can be expensive when it does appear, often costing over $40 on the US auction sites. However, given it doesn’t appear often, it’s price can vary quite a bit and it doesn’t have a stable/constant value. However, while you can get it cheaper in Japan, there are several other hurdles including being able to navigate Japanese auction sites, finding a seller that will ship worldwide, or finding a company that will buy it for you and send it across the world. I’d recommend it for hardcore Zelda collectors only.
