The folks at Man at Arms: Reforged, a group that makes replicas of weapons both from games and their own designs, have taken it upon themselves (due to numerous requests) to recreate the Hylian shield, as well as the classic Master Sword. The video takes us through the step-by-step process of the shield’s creation, outlining the tools and methods that bring it to life. It’s just over 10 minutes long, and includes a test-run of the shield, pitting it in battle against some melons, glass bottles, and arrows.

The shield features some embossing, a some real amber to make up the Triforce, and a hand-painted Hylian Crest on the front. The Master Sword takes after the classic design, showing off its red and yellow handle forged out of a block of solid steel. The pieces are both beautiful and ready for battle. They do the in-game models justice, and it’s great to see them come to life so perfectly right in front of your eyes.

What do you think? Do you like how it came out? Would you make it differently? Let us know in the comments below!
