Majora’s Memes – Link Left a Little Too Early
Posted on February 05 2013 by Kyle
Welcome to Majora’s Memes, where we bring you memetic madness weekly!
Like scouring Hyrule Field for bushes that hopefully contain Rupees or bombs or arrows, we search the Internet for Zelda-related laughs. I think this pitch is worth mentioning at the beginning of the article as well: if you come across a Zelda-related meme, please by all means let us know! Especially if it’s one you’ve made yourself. We’d be happy to check it out! We try to get our memes from a variety of sources, but as of yet, Memebase is the principle source, since its posts are in chronological order, making finding newer memes easier than it is on other sites like MemeCenter. So please, if you want to see Majora’s Memes become better, help contribute!
Okay, getting off the soapbox! Our first meme this week is another GIF, posted to Memebase by an unknown user. This one might just make you feel a bit sorry for that Old Man in the cave.
Alan Trehern gets a purple rupee this week, since he left a meme that was posted on The Solar Sentinel in the comments. This meme to be precise, admittedly it’s a bit older than what we usually go for, but I think the humor of it wins out this time.
“You Might Want to Rethink Your Strategy” is the title of this meme, posted by mathieuda on Memebase. I think we can all agree he has a point.
Link is a famous example of a silent protagonist, but he’s hardly the only one, let alone the only one at Nintendo. This image titled “…” from an anonymous Memebase poster gets a few of them in one place. While it leaves out a few important ones (*cough* Ness *cough*), it’s a good representation of the famous silent video game protagonists.
And our final meme of the day, “This Hurts My Gaming Heart” is right! Whoever posted this remained anonymous, but if they happen to read this, perhaps they’d consider including a Patrick Stewart facepalm underneath? Just a thought.
That wraps it up for this week of Majora’s Memebase! As I said before, please don’t hesitate to leave us memes! Even if they don’t end up in the article, I guarantee you they are checked out! And of course, if you comment in general, that makes me happy.
