Fans of Linktober in the Chicago area have an exciting opportunity to meet up this March. At the Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo (C2E2) on Friday, March 22nd, the good folks over at Linktober will be hosting a fan meetup from Noon to 1 PM (CST). Then on Sunday, March 24th at 12:15 PM (CST), they will be hosting a panel discussion titled “Art, Creativity, and The Legend of Zelda” where they will talk about how the Zelda franchise inspires players and fans to create.
Both events are being hosted by the head of Linktober, Joel Siegel. The meetup is considered family friendly and cosplay is encouraged, but not required. The panel will be made up of a small sample of the creative world that has been inspired by the Legend of Zelda series, including visual artists, cosplayers, writers, general content creators, and Zelda Dungeon’s own Mases Hagopian! Panelists will discuss their role in the creative world and how Zelda has inspired them, and there will be a Q&A session as well.
Linktober is a Zelda-themed art challenge every October, born from the annual art challenge known as Inktober. During the month, fans are challenged to create a Zelda-inspired piece of art based on a specific prompt each day.
The Linktober Fan Meetup is happening Friday, March 22nd from Noon to 1 PM (CST), and the Art, Creativity, and The Legend of Zelda Panel Discussion is happening on Sunday, March 24th from 12:15 to 1:15 PM (CST) at the C2E2 in Chicago, Illinois.
Will you be heading out to C2E2? Will you be participating in the Fan Meetup or attending the panel? Let us know in the comments below!
